Autumn MapRun Series 2024

2024 sees the 16th LOG Autumn Series. After trialling the series successfully using MapRun in 2021, we’re decided to continue to use it, hopefully providing a series that’s a bit different from our other events.

You can download the MapRun mobile app from either the Google Play store or the Apple App Store. Search for MapRun. There is also an app for Garmin watches, search the connect-iq store form MapRun G.

We are running 4 events across 3 months from October through to December. For each event, we will have a team of club members to offer some coaching and a more social environment for 2 hours from 10am. After the initial Saturday, the courses will remain open for completion on the MapRun server for 2 weeks for you to participate at your own leisure.

There will be 2 courses available at each event; a beginners ‘short’ course and a more advanced ‘long’ course. In addition, anyone who wants a bit of a longer run out is able to run both the courses, and their times will be collated.

Course Details

Short: 3.5-4.5km Optimum Distance
Long: 5.5-6.5km Optimum Distance

Entry to all events in this series is FREE!. Once the event has finished, the events will remain on the MapRun server, along with the other courses that we currently have available.

Anyone is free to compete on either of the courses. If you choose to run both courses, you will score points for the long course and the combined course. You will still receive a time for the short course, but you will be considered non-competitive for the short. The scoring for the series will be that the winner scores 50 points, second 49 and so on and so forth. For the ‘unofficial’ series score, your best 3 out of 4 results will count. There’s no troiphies on offer – just bragging rights 🙂

If you would like to try out a MapRun on any of our other courses across Lincolnshire please visit the MapRun homepage for full details.
