Fight the Night 2025 – Event #4 Finale

Weds 26th Feb saw the grand final of this year’s Fight the Night series, with 29 runners taking to the streets of the city centre and enjoying the planning of LOG stalwart, Kev Rice. A trickier evening for the orienteers, with the area having the infamous hill and lots of dead running in the top section, making life more difficult for those wanting the big points!

On the finals night, last year’s series winner, Paul Murgatroyd (235 pts) managed to just hold off the challenge of the number one seed, Amanda Roberts (233pts), by the slenderest of margins and retain his title, with Marcus Lancastle (222 pts) in third claiming a well deserved podium place. Paul also took the ‘most controls in the series’ award, with 79 of the 80 possible claimed across the 4 races.

The handicap results can be viewed here, with the various final groups seen here.
