Weds 8th witnessed the grand final of this year’s Fight the Night series, with 35 runners competing across the four ‘trophies’ around the streets of Lincoln Centre. On the night, Paul Murgatroyd (180pts) took his third victory in the series, ahead of Marcus Lancastle (170pts) and Mike Chapman (160pts) in second and third places respectively.
In the night’s Cup final, Paul managed to hold off the challenge of Pete Harris by just 3 pts, with planner, Amanda Roberts playing her joker to take 3rd prize. The Trophy final saw Brian Hostad claim the victory, the Plate was won by Amanda Mylett and David Jolly came top of the heap in the Vase final. Paul also won the award for most controls visited across the four races. The various finals results can be viewed here.
All the results from the night can be seen here, with the handicap results here.
Our thanks go to all the planners and kite collectors across the series and, especially, to Andy Lucas for managing the IT systems throughout the FtN races.
